  1. Thank you for posting this I blew right pass this in my mail, I’ve been trying to catch up!
    I have picked up some very bad habits this winter and been eating too many carbs (pasta) and I put on some weight around the middle….all my jeans are too tight… 🙁 I usually drink protein drinks…. I’m just kind of sick of them…I’m trying to get back into the groove….

    • You’re very welcome. I’m so glad you find the article useful. Actually, I don’t think pasta is too bad, but of course it has to be combined with protein of some kind and vegetables, preferably both cooked and raw. So maybe a lower percentage of carbs, but still some. I’ve heard that pasta is considered ‘slow food’ and that’s pretty good. Have you tried bean pasta? Or pasta made from some other type of flour than wheat? Like quinoa or chickpea? I don’t think it can be entirely made of another type of flour, but you can add a bit of something more ‘brown’ if you like. 🙂
