I have land in SL and pay quite a lot for it. A lot for me that is. Most people would probably think it’s only a small parcel but I love it. What happened lately though is that my neighbor sold his land and now all the money chasers moves in. Those who buys and hope to sell it fast for profit. Those who fill their land with lots of ugly for sale boxes. Why can’t they be happy with just one? Why do they needs rows of exactly the same looking ones?
Another group that comes in are the ad people. Those who believes that they can make a profit when people click on their ugly signs. Who does click on those? Not the neighbors anyway. Instead they can drive people away from the land, forcing them to sell off. Already three of my neighbors have left partly because of those ugly ads.
Third groups that comes in are the “firstlanders”. I know there aren’t any first land project anymore, but the need for that exists obviously. The newcomers try out every ugly build they can think of. And they put up privacy screens that makes the whole areal looks like it’s filled with shoe boxes. What are they hiding from? If they are so private, why don’t get a sky box?
